On September 5, Gela Dumbadze, the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues, held the meeting with our compatriots living in the Great Britain. Irina Sarajishvili, the Chairman of the Georgian Community in the United Kingdom ; Liana Gogrichiani, the director of first Georgian school of London city of United Kingdom; Tamar Dragadze the DPhil at Oxford University ; Otar Lazariashvili-doctor; Khatuna Shavgulidze-poet and other people. Geffry Gosby also took part in the meeting. He has the scholarship of the Wardrope Fund and is studying the Georgian language at Oxford University, under the guidance of teacher Lika Chokoshvili. Tamar Beruchashvili , Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United Kingdom also attended the meeting.
Gela Dumbadze informed the members of the meeting about the work of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues, talked about the projects it currently realizes. The State Minister emphasized the role of the Diaspora in the development of our country and underscored the necessity of sharing experience and knowledge gained abroad to our compatriots. The members of the meeting showed a special interest in the process of the Leuville  Chateau transfer to Georgia. The State Minister answered the questions of our compatriots regarding the current processes and acting economical programs in Georgia.
The Georgians living in the Great Britain shared the problems they as a Diaspora face, with Gela Dumbadze. The discussion also addressed the importance of supporting the issues of education and youth projects. Mentioned also, that it would be a huge support for the Georgian emigrants if the humanitarian projects such as consulting with the Georgian doctors, which happened in Greece and Italy will be realized in the Great Britain as well.
