The return of the land of the Government of the first Georgian republic persecuted in France purchased by the state funds as well as enforcement of the testament of the former owners is the will of the Georgian people and interest of the state. The execution of the historic mission is the obligation of the Government of Georgia and we are glad that parity commission created for the issue of the return of the Leuville Chateau to Georgia and for defining of the further function to it, is very close to successfully finishing the procedure.
As Mr.Otar Zurashvili stated himself “Georgia has been waiting to this since the day of Independence’’ for the return of the Leuville land. Our astonishment is logical about the position of Mr. Zurabishvili expressed in his letter, which follows “We will denounce it, with all the forms possible.’’ On the one hand, it is adequate to recognize the importance of the Leuville land return, on the other, the will to hinder the process with “all the forms possible” is incomprehensible. The Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issue gives explanation concerning the conservation of historic and cultural profile of the Leuville land. This profile will serve the research of the historic importance of the Georgia’s first Democratic Republic, the popularization of its representatives and their work, the presentation of Georgian culture and traditions in the modern world, the consolidation of Georgian-French relations and the promotion of realization of  Georgia’s European choice.
Speaking of the publicity of the process, the following circumstance deserves mention, alongside with the process-three open committees were held at the parliament of Georgia on the issue of the return of the land, discussions on the meetings with Diaspora were held in Paris as well as nearly 20 countries. After the return of the Chateau to the State property, Georgian Diaspora living in France will have two representatives in the governmental commission. We address all the person interested, we are open to the according partnership. We ask all the kind-wishers of Georgia, to show the special caution and bring this historic event to the final triumph.
