Today, on September 23 of the current year, at CEST 15:30 P.M. (Georgian local time 17:30 P.M.) in the Republic of France, at the territory of theLeuville-sur-Orge, the act of the Leuville land return to Georgia will be signed. This act will end the 25 year historic process and the land will be returned to its legal heir – Georgian people. The Leuville Chateau is 37 kilometers from Paris and occupies 45 000 square kilometers. The act of the return of the Leuville Chateau will be signed by Gela Dumbadze, the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues, from the Georgian side and the representative of the families of government of Georgia’s Democratic Republic (1918-1921), from the French side.
Tea Tsulukiani – the Minister of Justine of Georgia, Ekaterine Siradze-Delone – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of France; Gocha Javakhishvili- Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of France; the representatives of the Leuville City Hall and Georgian Diaspora will attend the ceremony of signing historic act of the Leuville land return to Georgia.
The process of the Leuville land return to Georgia has been going for 25 years. Numerous people in different periods of time have participated in this process. The special parity commission, created for the purpose of the return, in 2014, started its work exceptionally actively and took this process to the signing of the historic document of the historic importance, which will be solemnly held on September 23, in Republic of France, at the Leuville Chateau.
