Gela Dumbadze, the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues met with the members of the folkloric ensemble “Marani”, acting in the Republic of France.
Ensemble “Marani” was founded in 1993 and it is already 23 years that it makes Georgian folkloric music popular in France. The ensemble comprises of Georgian, as well as French, Italian and American singers. “Marani” is currently directed by our compatriot living in France – Tariel Vachadze.
The guests congratulated the State Minister on the successful ending of the process of Leuville Land return to Georgia; introduced the current work of the ensemble to him; told him about the future events and invited him on the concert which they will give on September 30, at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire.
Gela Dumbadze gave the highest estimation to the long and successful work of the ensemble “Marani.” He made the special emphasis on the merit of the ensemble in the popularization of Georgian culture and stated that the ensemble by its work, significantly supports the raising of awareness about Georgia in France.
The State Minister discussed the importance of the Leuville land return to Georgia with the guests; told them about the priorities of his office and expressed his hope that the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues and ensemble “Marani” will fruitfully cooperate in the future.
