On October 12, the meeting between Gela Dumbadze – the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues and Mikheil Janelidze – the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia was held, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
The First Deputy Foreign Minister – David Zalkaliani; Deputy Ministers – David Jalagania, Gigi Gigiadze, Khatuna Totladze, Zviad Gonadze; Rati Bregadze – the Deputy Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues; Konstantine Qavtaradze – the Ambassador-at-large and other representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the State Minister thanked the Minister of the Foreign Affairs for the contribution in the Leuville estate return process and gave him the symbolic key to Leville estate.
The State Minister noted that the cooperation between his office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a classic example of interdepartmental cooperation, which played a huge role in crowning this issue successfully. The State Minister also mentioned, the input of Tea Tsulukiani – the Minister of Justice; Ekaterine Siradze-Delone – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Gocha Javakhishvili – Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of France; the families of the heirs of the estate in the process of the return of the estate.
Mikheil Janelidze gave a high estimation to the work done by Gela Dumbadze, the State Minister and expressed his belief that the process of the return of the estate, will soon be tangible and Georgia will use it for reinforcement of Georgian hearth and our roots in Europe.
The State Minister introduced the future plans for organizing and functioning of the Leuville estate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and expressed his hope in the engagement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The State Minister gave information to the participants of the meeting about the high-level conference, to be held in the Middle of November, organized by the Office of the State Minister. The Leuville estate will be one of the segments of the conference and asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the maximum engagement.
At the end of the meeting, Mikheil Janelidze thanked Gela Dumbadze for the symbolic gift and expressed his hope, that the Leuville estate will become the sign of Georgian roots in Europe and the state hearth of the European scale.
