Gela Dumbadze, State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues pays a working visit to French Republic. On March 20, the State Minister visited Leuville /Le château de Leuville-sur-Orge/ estate and the local cemetery where Georgians are buried. He paid tribute and laid flowers at the graves of the leaders and heroes of the first Democratic Republic Government fallen for independence of Georgia. The same day he met with the residents of the chateau.
On March 21, the State Minister held a meeting with “The Lazi Cultural Center” representatives and teachers and pupils of the Sunday school by the Center. Gela Dumbadze, talked about the activities of the State Office, present programs and future projects which will contribute to strengthening of Georgian Diaspora organizations.
On the same day, under the chairmanship of the State Minister the Parity Commission was held. It was established in order to determine the conditions of the “Leuville chateau” estate and property transfer under the jurisdiction of Georgia and its subsequent function. The session was attended by the members of the Parity Commission, Irene Tsitsishvili, Chairman, “Georgian Center”, Gocha Javakhishvili, Envoy, Georgian Embassy to France and Mukhran Gulaghashvili, Deputy State Minister. Committee discussed the necessary procedures and ways of solving them. The session continued at Georgian Embassy.
The State Minister’s visit to France ends on March 23.
